My mission is…

To help writers express complex ideas with clarity and confidence—without losing their voice.

Through expert editing and honest collaboration, I support writers at every stage, ensuring their work sounds polished, professional, and authentically their own.

My path into editing started as a struggling international student in Germany. I saw how difficult it was to express complex ideas in a second language—and how much writing stress impacts confidence.

Friends and colleagues started asking for help, and soon I was editing essays, theses, and even a professor’s lectures. Those early experiences shaped my approach: empathetic, strategic, and collaborative.

As a native English speaker and US-American abroad, I have over eight years of experience helping friends, colleagues, and even professors better their written English and now, as a freelance editor, I get to help clients turn their ideas into impactful, publication-ready writing.

I hold:

  • MA in Sociology and Demography, University of Bamberg, Germany

  • MRes in Sociology and Demography, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain

  • BA in Social Sciences and English/American Studies, Ruhr University Bochum, Germany

I’ve also worked in academic communications, translated German content, and contributed to a published EU research report on migration.

But more than credentials, I bring

  • curiosity,

  • cross-cultural sensitivity, and

  • a sharp editorial eye to every project.

Editing isn’t just about correcting mistakes—it’s about helping your work reach its full potential.

My editing process starts with the question:

What do you want this to communicate?

I edit with context, not just corrections—tailoring my approach to your writing’s purpose.

I begin by understanding your goals, audience, and voice. I ask questions. I give honest, constructive feedback. And I support you at every step—whether that means clarifying your structure, smoothing your tone, or cheering you through the final proof.

  • So your ideas are fully understood.

  • So your process feels supported.

  • So your voice stays yours.

Three values that guide my work:

When I’m not editing, I’m probably somewhere new!

Whether traveling in a van, exploring a second-hand market, or cooking local dishes in a tiny kitchen abroad,

as a digital nomad, I draw inspiration from the places I visit—and bring that same adaptability and cultural insight into my editorial work.
